International Violet Wand Guild Program


The Education and Certification program levels of the Guild coincide with the member levels of the Guild. Basic members join the Guild just by registering with the website at the violetwands network. You can register here. When you join, you'll be able to see more of the information that we have available. AND you can learn about how to be a member at different levels, PLUS how to join the Guild's educational program. Study to become a certified Violet Wand Journeyman or a Violet Wand Master. Or, participate at a supportive level and receive benefits for your support.

    There are several supportive levels of the Guild. Membership is free at basic and supportive levels. With each level, member benefits increase.

  • Friends support the Guild through a variety of ways. They have registered as Basic members, learned a little about the Guild, and decided they are interested in the program.


  • Charter members are members who were present at time of charter, or who have been grandfathered into the guild out of respect for their past patronage, involvement, or contribution


  • Fellows are representatives of their BDSM groups, organizations or clubs who support the VW guild program by seeking certified demonstrators for their seminars or other means.


  • Associate members are representatives of retail businesses or individuals with or without a web presence, who support the VW Guild's mission and program through their patronage.


    The Guild consists of several craft levels, the highest of which is the Rated Master. Elevation into and through the craft levels is dependent upon study, testing, contribution and verification.

  • Novitiate members have all the tools and techniques at their disposal and have begun their study. They have a minimum 3 month period in which to study, then they can test to be elevated to Apprentice.



  • Apprentice members have extensive knowledge of up-to-date wand techniques including advanced techniques. They learn even more about violet wands, and after a period in good standing as Apprentice members, can test to be elevated and certified as Journeyman Violet Wand Demonstrators.



  • Journeyman members have completed their Journeyman level certification course. They demonstrate the most up-to-date techniques using the most current safety practices. They are active in violet wand research and development, and receive extensive information and benefits. Backed by the Guild, they are available to give wand demonstrations and seminars to your group or organization.


  • Journeyman of Mark. The Journeyman of Mark is a learning level. After receiving merit as Journeyman members, in this level, Journeyman members study violet ray and violet wand repair.




  • Master Wand Instructors have completed the journeyman Certified Demonstrator Course as a pre-requisite, and then completed the Master level hands-on certification course in violet wand/ violet ray repair. In addition to the course requirements of the Certified Demonstrator Course, they have sufficiently demonstrated their skill level in violet wand repair. They have accomplished the complete restoration of an exceptional vintage violet wand as their 'Masterpiece'. They have also demonstrated their extensive familiarization with other facets of violet wand aspects. They are backed by the Guild and are Guild-certified to make safe, quality repairs and restorations of violet rays and violet wands.


    • Rated Master. The highest Guild member level is the Rated Master. Rated Master Members have chosen a specialty field of violet wand/ violet ray study and have completed independent research in their chosen field of specialty, bringing the results back to archive with the Guild in order to make the most current and accurate information available.
